Companies and individuals launching their own apparel brands stand out. With marketing using member exchange sites (SNS) and other means, the number of new entrants into the apparel market is expected to increase, even without stores, and the key to success will be "where to make it" and "who makes it" in the future.
"Apparel OEM Search" is the answer to this challenge. The database site, which allows users to search for apparel OEM companies in one place, is operated by Normalism (Meguro-ku, Tokyo), which opened a beta version in 2018 and, after gaining users and results, released the official version in August 2008. The database site is entirely free of charge for use by requesters, and there is basically no charge for registration by OEM companies. Registered companies are free to choose from free plans or paid monthly plans (from 5,000 yen), depending on functionality.
In the matching service (free batch consultation service), when a client describes a job, the information is sent to multiple OEM companies at once, and the OEM companies can send messages to the client with proposals, estimates, and other information. Messages can be sent and received directly via chat on the site.
Normalism was originally a company that created websites for apparel companies. The company launched the site because many of its clients were start-ups and sole proprietorships, and they often heard that they were looking for a good apparel OEM company.
