Saiei Co., Ltd. is a Nishijin-ori textile manufacturer founded in 1964, specializing in OEM production of fabrics and fashion accessories using silk and polyester. The company mainly produces silk fabrics for ties and polyester fabrics for accessories and small goods. Drawing on over 50 years of experience in textile pattern design, traditional craftsmen handle the design and development of woven patterns. Saiei also maintains an archive of more than 55,000 original textile designs, which can be adapted for product development. Weaving is carried out in partnership with a long-established factory in Kyotango, using high-density jacquard looms capable of producing intricate designs. The woven fabrics are then sewn and processed by skilled craftsmen in Kyoto before undergoing in-house inspection and packaging. From pattern design and weaving to sewing, processing, and inspection, Saiei provides OEM production based on its long-established Nishijin-ori expertise.
