EDOVANCE CO., LTD. is an apparel manufacturer based in Ryogoku, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, specializing in the domestic production of cut-and-sew garments, woven apparel, and knitwear. Under its “MADE IN TOKYO” concept, the company is committed to preserving and developing Japanese sewing expertise while pursuing the quality, technical precision, and speed associated with domestic manufacturing.

One of EDOVANCE’s key strengths is its ability to handle a wide range of apparel categories, including cut-and-sew garments, woven shirts and jackets, knitwear, swimwear, underwear, and other highly customized designs. Its sewing staff are trained in comprehensive garment construction, allowing them to handle multiple processes and respond flexibly to diverse product specifications. Since introducing linking equipment in 2016, the company has also expanded its knitwear capabilities and can produce hybrid products combining knit and cut-and-sew techniques.

The company operates its own factory in Tokyo equipped with a wide range of sewing machinery, including lockstitch and overlock machines as well as specialized equipment such as flatlock, five-needle, three-needle, zigzag, and blind-stitch machines. CAD/CAM technology from SHIMA SEIKI is also used for automated cutting. With production capabilities covering cutting, sewing, pressing, and finishing, EDOVANCE can manage a substantial portion of the manufacturing process in-house. In addition to its Tokyo facility, the company operates a factory in Okinawa and works with partner factories throughout Japan.

EDOVANCE has experience working with approximately 70–80 brands, including Japanese and international fashion brands. Its production portfolio includes collection samples and bulk production for brands participating in major global fashion collections, as well as stage costumes and commercial garments for artists. The company also handles exhibition samples, collection samples, small-lot production, and custom uniforms.
