New Sock Manufacturing Facility Opening in August 2026 – Equipped with the Latest Circular and Flat Knitting Machines

MIKASA, Inc. will open a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Yamatotakada City, Nara Prefecture, Japan, in August 2026.

The new factory will be equipped with 48 of the latest circular knitting machines, 30 Wholegarment flat knitting machines, and 22 specialized machines for five-toe socks. In addition to socks, we offer OEM and ODM development of a wide range of high-performance knitted products, including gloves, support garments, arm sleeves, rehabilitation products, and healthcare items.

We are also advancing functional product development through collaborative projects with Nippon Sport Science University for sports socks and joint research with Nara Medical University in the fields of medical care and rehabilitation, pursuing performance and functionality from both sports and healthcare perspectives.
